The Money Situation
Mar. 19th, 2012 07:59 pmWe’re out of money for the month, I just paid my hosting bill and that about cleans us out. I get paid again in a week, but these last three months have been close calls. I’m finding myself working for a day or two straight, some days without breaks or food, just to try to keep up with the bills and it’s still not enough.
It drives me crazy when people like Republicans claim that poor people are all lazy and on welfare, or a drain on society, when I haven’t used any government socialized program (except for Social Security, which my Republican mother collected for me while I was in school for which I have never seen a dime – but it kept her and my stepdad from having to work, I guess) in my life. No Medicaid, no welfare, no food stamps. I haven’t been to a doctor or dentist in almost 13 years, which was when I had my last vacation. Laota and I work through sprains, bruises, broken bones and dislocated limbs as we sort of stay in limbo without the ability to move forward. I’m not a drain on society, I tread water non stop to keep from going under, but it’s just getting worse and I’m scared.
There’s not much to this post except for that I’m having a mini freak out and I needed to get it off my chest.
